Ordered my autographed copy from the Santa Cruz Bookshop the first week it was out. So glad I did! I raised my kids in Monterey and often found myself in Elkhorn hiking, listening to the water, watching the vibrant as well as discrete animal life in the slough, basically getting away from the day-to-day life and enjoying nature
Within the first chapter I was already remembering how it feels at the slough and getting homesick! As the book progressed, I began imagining my daughter and I doing the same murder sleuthing. What a fun story!

I can't tell you how much I am loving your book!!! My daughter lived in Monterey for three years during Covid and I stayed with her for long periods of time working remotely. I grew to love the area. I especially love that your characters are Jewish ( I am Jewish.). My mother and I love reading murder mysteries as well. Louise Penny is my favorite author. I hope you make this into a series and create more mysteries for Lana, Beth and Jack!!!
